Individual Sessions are for people who have a specific concern and require a tailor-made Sophrology programme.

Overview of a Sophrology Session
Soprhology Individual Sessions usually last about one hour. A brief overview in 4 steps:
- Individual Sophrology Sessions start with a dialogue between you and the Sophrologist to discuss your needs and concerns and to define your individual programme.
- The session then continues with 15-20 mins of simple exercises which focus on addressing your specific concern. These are simple practical exercises which can be done either standing and sitting.
- The sophrologist will name different parts of the body and ask you to focus your attention on them, noticing all the sensations and feelings. You will then be guided to release physical and mental tensions and energise your mind and body. The Sophrologist will then lead you through an exercise asking your to visualise and be aware of sensations in your body.
- At the end of the exercise you will be asked to share your experience by talking about your feelings, sensations and emotions. This is called the pheno-description, the description of the phenomena. The pheno-description can be oral, written or drawn.
The session lasts one hour and the client will be given various exercises to do at home. Usually 3 or 4 sessions are required. The sessions are recorded so that you can practise the exercise at home.
